Reflections on simple things in my life !!

I was totally jobless today!!! So thought of constructing my next thread.
Here it goes!!

I got a question in my mind when I was sitting and staring @ my monitor
Do I have any big or great things to achieve in this lifetime? Silly me, for sure I don’t have any such things.

What I term as big great things here , It could be a grand wedding day, earn the first crore in my profession, and become the CEO of the top 5 company in the world, or things like that.

Well, there is no problem of wanting to achieve all those big great things in life. However, the real problem is that I feel i am trying to fast forward my life hoping to reach there the next moment and want to enjoy the results and not the journey.

So, the small little things were always termed as insignificant. But now I realize that most of the big great things were achieved through humble small little things. We always hear that a million miles journey begin with the first step but how many of us found the real essence of this statement.

I feel the answer is none as far as I have known!!!

I believe life is in the small details. Ongoing small gestures can mean so much more than one grand display of love and things. Simple pleasures throughout the life can be far more gratifying that one amazing end. When I connect the dots between all these little joys, life seems fuller and more satisfying.

Sometimes I tend to overlook many funny and exciting things,  because I  have felt the activities are small and sometimes it’s because they are strange or seem unfeasible to the average person.

But now I want to enjoy all these little things in life, when I look back I may realize they are big things.

Here is my bucket list of some unconventional things which I want to do in my lifetime and these little things that fill me with bliss.

Here’s what I’ve got so far:

• Adopt a small child and contribute to education of the child anonymously.
• Spend a week vacation with my parents and brother.
• Support my wife in whatever she chooses to do
• Have a girl child
• To do stand-up comedy in front of my old friends.
• Have a conversation over dinner with a Dr Abdul Kalam (The only person whom I have respect as a politician).
